Adding a Task to Your Calendar

Push a task with a due date straight into Google Calendar, Outlook, or any other calendar app — one-way, no account connection required.

What it is

Any task with a due date has a small 📅 button next to it. Click it and you get three one-click options: Google Calendar, Outlook, or download a .ics file (works with Apple Calendar and most other calendar apps).

What it deliberately isn't

This is a one-way push, not a live sync. Clicking "Google Calendar" opens Google Calendar with the event details already filled in for you to save — Allsorts CRM never connects to your Google or Microsoft account, and it doesn't need permission to your calendar to do this. The trade-off is that it's one-way: if you later move or delete the event in your calendar app, the task in the CRM won't know about it, and vice versa. If you need true two-way calendar sync, that's a bigger feature we don't have yet — this solves the everyday "get it onto my calendar" need without asking for access to your calendar account.

How to use it

  1. Give a task a due date (in Tasks or on a contact/deal/company page).
  2. Click the 📅 icon next to it.
  3. Pick Google Calendar, Outlook, or download the .ics file. Since tasks only store a date (not a specific time), the calendar event defaults to a 30-minute slot at 09:00 on that day — edit the time in your calendar app if you need something different.
