Tracking Money In and Out on a Deal
A simple running log of income and expenses tied to a single deal — not full bookkeeping.
What it is
A lightweight log on each deal's page for jotting down money that's come in or gone out against that deal — a supplier cost, a deposit received, materials bought — with a running net total.
What it deliberately isn't
This is not accounting software. There's no ledger, no bank reconciliation, no tax reporting, and it doesn't connect to your invoices or any accounting system. It's a rep's own quick record of "what did this deal actually cost/earn me," nothing more. For real invoicing, use Creating Your First Quote or Invoice — that's the document that should actually go to your client.
How to use it
- Open a deal and scroll to the Money Log card.
- Choose Income or Expense, enter an amount, optionally add a short description, and click Add.
- The net total at the top updates automatically. Entries can be removed if you made a mistake — there's no edit, just add or remove, to keep it dead simple.
