AI Assistance: Email Drafts and Deal Suggestions
Two on-demand AI touchpoints — drafting a follow-up email, and suggesting a next step on a deal.
What AI assistance does
Two small, on-demand tools, not a general chatbot: AI Draft on a contact's Email Log writes a short follow-up email using that contact's real details (name, company, linked deal); AI Suggestion on a deal's detail page reads that deal's stage, value, and recent activity and suggests one concrete next step.
Why it's scoped this way
A full AI assistant that reads and writes everywhere sounds impressive but is hard to trust and expensive to run on every page load. Keeping it to two specific, on-demand buttons means it only runs when you ask for it, only looks at the record you're already looking at, and the output is something you review and edit before it goes anywhere — it drafts, you decide.
When to use it
AI Draft: when you know you need to email someone but don't want to stare at a blank subject line — type a one-line instruction (or leave it blank for a general check-in) and it fills in a draft you can edit before sending. AI Suggestion: when a deal has gone quiet and you're not sure what to do next — it looks at how long it's been in its current stage and what's actually been logged, and gives you one specific idea instead of a generic "follow up."
How to use it
- Email draft: open a contact, click + Log Email, optionally describe what the email should say, then click ✨ AI Draft — it fills in the subject and body, which you can edit freely before sending.
- Deal suggestion: open a deal and click Get suggestion on the AI Suggestion card at the top of the page.
- Both are entirely optional — nothing runs automatically, and nothing is sent without you reviewing it first.
If you see a message that AI features aren't configured, ask whoever manages your Allsorts CRM account to set that up — it's a one-time setup step on the platform side, not something each organization configures itself.
