Notifications and Daily Reminders

What the CRM tells you about, where it reaches you, and how to change it.

What this is

Allsorts CRM can reach you three ways: in the app (the bell in the sidebar), as a push notification on your phone or desktop, and by email. The first two always happen. Email is per-person and per-type, set under Settings → My Profile.

On top of the notifications that fire from things you do, two reminders run automatically once a day.

Why email matters here

An in-app notification only works if you open the app, and a push notification only works if you've allowed them on that device. For anything you'd be annoyed to find out about late — a task due today, a teammate tagging you, a deal won — email is the one channel that reaches you wherever you already are.

The daily reminders

Tasks due. Each morning, anyone with tasks due today or already overdue gets one summary — "You have 3 due today and 1 overdue" — not one message per task. Ten separate emails on a busy Monday teaches people to filter the sender, which defeats the point.

Deals going quiet. The owner of any open deal with nothing logged against it for a set number of days gets a nudge. Logging a call, note or meeting resets the clock — this measures real contact, not whether someone happened to edit the record.

Set the threshold under Settings → Automation ("Nudge me about deals going quiet"). It defaults to 14 days; set it to 0 to switch it off entirely.

Both are capped at one per person per day, so a re-run of the daily job never double-sends.

Which notifications can be emailed

NotificationEmailed by default
Someone @mentions youYes
A task is assigned to youYes
Daily task-due summaryYes
A deal you own goes quietYes (same setting as task reminders)
A deal is wonYes
Support ticket replies, automation alertsIn-app and push only
Billing and account noticesSent to the account owner as their own emails

How to change what you get

  1. Go to Settings → My Profile.
  2. Under Email notifications, tick or untick each type. It saves as you click.
  3. Push notifications have their own toggle just below, per device.

Turning off an email doesn't hide the notification — it still appears in the app and as a push. You're only choosing whether a copy lands in your inbox.

When the reminders run

Once a day, driven by a scheduled job on the server. It's the same job that handles trial and billing reminders, so if one is arriving the other is too.
